In keeping with these lines of Winston Churchill, we collaborated with Kanan Patel and Group from Pune to offer a monthly pack of grocery to 21 Adivasi families of Jawal village. We are extremely grateful to our Village friends for giving us the opportunity to share our love with them during Covid times.

LOVE PACKED IN PROTEIN BARS

Love packed in Protein Bars

On 6th April, the vision of our Child Development Team and HERE Solutions India Pvt LTD found a tangible shape.  We distributed Peanut Chikki and Ladoos wrapped in love to ensure unhindered Protein intake for Anganwadi kids across 7 villages.

 Our rural team enjoyed being instrumental in coordinating with HERE Solutions India Pvt LTD  for providing nutrition to these rural angels during Covid times.

Diagnostic device to Restart schools

To reassure safety of children at rural schools, the Rural team at Katarkhadak offered temperature guns and oximeter to 9 ZP schools in the Mulshi valley. The Principals of these ZP schools in Katarkhadak, Aandhale, Jawal, Khamboli, Pimpoli, Kemsewadi, Rasalwadi, Shelkewadi, Gawarwadi were extremely touched by our gesture to help them restart schools.

Inspiring Ecopreneurship

Manoj ji inaugurated a small-scale enterprise, an initiative of the Katarkhadak village youth, Janardhan and Ganesh. This unit proposes to manufacture paper and leaf eco-friendly bio-degradable plates. The finished products will be provided to nearby villages and city for various events. It is a solution to have a great control and respect for plastic and non-bio-degradable material.

Our rural development team is happy to lend a helping hand to the rural youth, who continue farming along with such enterprising endeavors.

HELP FOR SELF STUDY

help for Self study

Village children love to come to school,most of them, and when the school is closed due to the pandemic and Covid for a long time they really miss their friends and studies too.

A beautiful step was initiated by Narendra Rane and his friends to gift Self Study books and writing material to these students. Nine schools of Khamboli zone were selected and brought together to gift this helpful kit to the students at the school. 250 plus kits of Self Study books on school subjects with the writing material was packed for each student.

 

The teachers came to Rishi Gurukulam to collect these and distribute it to their students. This event was held in the presence of the Deputy Education Officer Mr. Manik Bangar.

A Rendezvous with Innocence

Radha Ma and Jayramji, our senior SSY teachers, visited the village schools where we have initiated various programmers for school children. The interactive session involved singing English poems, physical training and an informal chat with students.

Children SSY at Khamboli

The children of Khamboli village were gifted Children SSY.  The programme inspired the children to see their own inherent greatness and greatness around them. Raw food, pranayama and meditation being the main features, the programme aimed at building responsible world citizens. Students relished the Prasad offered after each session and loved making charts with positive affirmations.

Our SSY teachers and Volunteers, Sarita, Dipesh, Shailesh, Bindu, Kapil, Rajesh, Shri, Krish committed to the mission conducted the SSY class. A one-day retreat will soon follow.

Stretch and unstress

Work- out is in, but we decided to help our rural kids to work-in through yoga. 21st June 2019 saw us celebrating International Yoga Day with our village school students. The weeklong Yoga training picked enthusiasm with banners and music. Jawal, Khamboli and Katarkhadak school students benefitted greatly from this ancient practice of relaxing, replenishing and reviving.

Our Rural team members, Renuka, Rafik, Amol and Gurukulam sports teacher, Rahul trained the students in yoga.

Motherhood & Fearless Fatherhood/Yes Parenting

An ISP (Infant Siddha Program) session was conducted for rural parents. The sessions were a prelude to happy parenting days. Aimed at parents of children from 0-7 yrs., the program aids in providing the child conducive environment for all round growth.

 

 

One of the participants, Mrs. Seema Kamble, a ZP school teacher,  practiced one of the applications of ISP on her students  and reported,” Earlier the  students were disinterested in learning new English words. But with flash cards as a ‘Fluent forever’ technique I learnt in the ISP session, I have noticed that the student engagement has gone up and they are a happy bunch of motivated learners now.”

The rural participants immediately applied some tools like Sleep talk, flash cards transforming themselves into ‘Yes ‘ parents.

Mrs. Shilpa Kshirsagar , our rural  team member, resolved the  queries  of inquisitive  parents. The parents were more than happy to receive this easy to apply knowledge for making learning quick, fun and long lasting.
