Yoga day with INO

International Yoga Day , 21st June 2017 – Shri Narendra Modi,  our honored Prime Minister has declared this day as International Yoga Day, as it is  an equinox, ie, the day and night are of  equal duration and exactly  are of exactly 12 hours each. Yoga as we all know is very beneficial to one and all.

We, at Katarkhadak, enjoyed creating awareness and celebrating this day on such a large scale. We are blessed to be associated with INO (International Naturopathy Organization) and Mrs. Renuka Vyas, the secretary of INO. We also had three Naturopathspecialists along with Mrs. Renuka Vyas – Dr Bharti Rathod (Gynecology), Mrs. Kalpana Tiwari  (Self-healing and massages) and Mrs. Pooja Mankar (detox and trainer  in self-massage by towel twisting).  We had total nine activities as of now, all full of practical tips and simple yet effective knowledge!

Prahar military school

A batch of 6o enthusiastic students from Nagpur Prahar Military School participated in the SSY class offered to them by us. The school has derived inspiration from Nana Patekar’s 1991 film ‘Prahar’. Besides bringing them up as responsible sensitive citizens, the school aims at inspiring students to become soldiers and hence invited us to enrich their lives further through our SSY program.

Students were immensely benefited and they appreciated the beauty and simplicity of this self -awareness program. Along with SSY, tips on how to remember their syllabus effortlessly – by systematically organizing the data and mind mapping concepts was also taught to them.

Featuring in Apeksha magazine

Apeksha, a local magazine in the Mulshi Taluka, recognized and brought into light our activities conducted in the local area. It was a happy moment for us when our efforts were recognized by the magazine that featured an article on our Jawal village school Kendra. The clay work activity and the exposure given to school children through various activities conducted by our Aananda Kendra finds a special mention in the article.

We are in gratitude to the Jawal school, teachers and children for giving us an opportunity to make a positive difference. And of course, we are grateful to Apeksha magazine for seeing greatnessin all.
