HEALTH & HYGIENE KIT

Health & Hygiene Kit

Our vision to contribute to a healthy and hygienic world was spotted in work- clothes when 500 Hygiene kits were offered to Aanganwadi and Middle ZP school students across 9 villages of Mulshi Valley.  The project is supported by HERE Solutions India Pvt LTD and carried forward by our Rural team. The kit consisting of a nail cutter, an ayurvedic toothpaste, a tongue cleaner, 2 soaps, 6 masks, a comb cum lies cleaner was packed in a bag with an affirmation for a healthy body printed on it!

 Our rural team happily packed the gifts in the bag. An endeavour to bring about health and hygiene awareness.

EMPOWERING TODAY FOR AN EMPOWERED TOMORROW

‘The Rihe village women were taught to make and pack ground nut Ladoos and nutribars. These goodies were then distributed to children of Anaganwadi and Zilla Parishad schools. The activity aimed at making women financially independent and ensuring unhindered nutritional intake of protein for school going children.

Our rural team arranged for the cooking class. It also packed the nutribars and Ladoos along with the rural women. It also arranged for the smooth distribution of the goodies to our school going friends.

ONE LIT CANDLE LIGHTS MANY

Vaishnavi Khengare, last year graduation student from Katarkhadak village, has taken the initiative to help other village girls acquire English speaking skills. These Higher Secondary pass outs who wish to pursue bachelor’s degree attend Zoom sessions specially organized for them by us for a smooth English class. Vaishnavi aids them in picking up functional English-speaking skills.

We are extremely grateful to HERE Solutions India Pvt LTD to help us in our vision to empower women in all walks of their life.

 Our Rural team member, Rafik provides technical support and guidance to the girls to help them fulfill their dream of learning English. He arranges a Zoom meeting and has made them techno savvy in handling this new medium of learning.

MENSTRUAL HYGIENE DAY

We steered our Project,

Kamakhya towards its second phase- ‘Experience’.

As an important part of Menstrual Hygiene, we distributed 140 Menstrual Hygiene kits with handmade cotton cloth sanitary napkins made by women in Ahmedabad. They were also offered a washing soap, string to dry, clothes peg and washing bowl to maintain hygiene. The women recipients of Pimpoli village were explained the importance of weaning themselves off the synthetic napkins.

 Our Rural Development team   encouraged the rural women to open about their challenges in menstruation and talk to the Gynecologist doctor, our Rural Development team member. The women in the next phase of the project will eventually be taught to make their own sanitary napkins and sell the excess ones to gain financial independence.

ZOOM OUT CHALLENGES ZOOM IN CHANGE

We truly believe – ‘Only a filled cup overflows’ We did our bit to fill the cups of the educators of 9 ZP schools in the Mulshi Valley by organizing a two-hour orientation joy shop-‘Change your Outlook, Change your Life’.

The participant Principals and teachers were offered tools to reverse any challenge in their lives. As educators are harbingers of positive energy, we are sure to see them radiate positivity into their students with these tools. We are also sending them daily inspirational videos to maintain the energy

 Our rural team coordinated with the Block Development Officer to receive approval for the Joyshop for educators of Mulshi Valley. We got connected with the concerned Educators and arranged a Zoom meet.

PROTEIN FOR PRE-TEENS

‘A healthy Child marks a Healthy Nation’ and HERE Solutions India Pvt LTD  along with our Child Development team more than recognizes this maxim. A spark of this was seen when monthly Peanut Chikki and Ladoos packets were offered to 9 schools of Mulshi Valley. This was done to ensure nutrition and Protein intake of our school goers even during Covid times.

THE MAGIC OF TOGETHERNESS

‘We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give’. In keeping with these lines of Winston Churchill, we collaborated with Kanan Patel and Group from Pune to offer a monthly pack of grocery to 21 Adivasi families of Jawal village. We are extremely grateful to our Village friends for giving us the opportunity to share our love with them during Covid times.

LOVE PACKED IN PROTEIN BARS

On 6th April, the vision of our Child Development Team and HERE Solutions India Pvt LTD found a tangible shape.  We distributed Peanut Chikki and Ladoos wrapped in love to ensure unhindered Protein intake for Anganwadi kids across 7 villages.

Diagnostic device to Restart schools

To reassure safety of children at rural schools, the Rural team at Katarkhadak offered temperature guns and oximeter to 9 ZP schools in the Mulshi valley. The Principals of these ZP schools in Katarkhadak, Aandhale, Jawal, Khamboli, Pimpoli, Kemsewadi, Rasalwadi, Shelkewadi, Gawarwadi were extremely touched by our gesture to help them restart schools.
